The GREATEST Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft & Fluffy, Melt in Your Mouth Chocolate Chip Cookies



The first time I tried these amazing cookies I could not believe how soft and fluffy they were. I'll admit, I ate WAY more than I should've and I did not regret it a single bit. Stretchy pants for the win!


Although this recipe originally came from a good friend and it was incredible as it was , I have tweaked it just a little for my own personal taste. Personally, I LOVE extra chocolate chips, if that's not your style you can always adjust to your own liking.



The GREATEST Chocolate Chip Cookies


What you'll need:

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature (softened)

  • 1/2 cup of virgin coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar

  • 1 cup of brown sugar

  • 1 table spoon of pure vanilla extract

  • 12 ounces chocolate chips (I prefer milk chocolate, but semi-sweet are great too!)

  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts (optional*)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 1/4 cups of flour

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda



Directions:

  1. Preheat to 375°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine butter, virgin coconut oil, sugar, and brown sugar. Mix throughly.

  3. Add your eggs to the mixture in the mixing bowl. Beat well into mixture.

  4. Add salt and baking soda to the mixture. Mix well.

  5. Slowly add flour a little at a time. Mix thoroughly.

  6. Hand fold the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts*

  7. Place large spoonfuls of dough approximately 1 1/2 inches apart on your cookie sheets. - They don't have to look pretty, their taste makes up for their appearance!

  8. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes. You will know the cookies are done when they are slightly golden on top.

  9. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack when removed from the oven.
