Simple and delicious summer cocktail - This twist on the classic Moscow Mule is sure to please any crowd.
If you know me you know that I am a huge fan of the Moscow Mule. It's the perfect combination of sweet and tart. While I will always love the simplicity of a standard Moscow Mule, adding this seasonal twist sure takes this drink to the next level.
If you're looking for a non-alcoholic option this recipe is great without the vodka as well!

Tools To Make A Strawberry Moscow Mule Easier:
Stainless steel muddler for cocktails
Cocktail jigger
Mixing spoon
All of these items can be purchased as a set by clicking HERE. However, you can still make this drink if you do not have these items at home. Instead of the muddler you may use the end of a mixing spoon to mash the fruit. A shot glass or measuring cup can be used in place of a jigger.
Another suggested item are THESE copper mugs! Again, not necessary to enjoy this cocktail, but they are cute AND I truly believe they make your drink taste better.
Ingredients Needed
4-5 Fresh Strawberries
3 oz. of ginger beer (one of my favorites can be purchased HERE) -Note: Ginger beer is nonalcoholic and can be used in the mocktail version of this drink.
1 1/2 oz. of Vodka - there are many great options, but my favorite is Titos
1 oz. simple syrup
Juice from one half of a fresh lime
Ice for serving
Step 1: Let’s Get Started
To start, add the strawberries to the bottom of your glass and use a muddler to mash them up (Pro Tip: after you muddle the strawberries let them sit for 1-2 hours and they will be extra juicy and delicious)
Frozen strawberries may be used as a substitute, but will not provide the same sweetness as fresh strawberries.
If you are making a large batch you may use a food processor or blender to blend up the strawberries beforehand.
Step 2:
Add the vodka, ginger beer, simple syrup, and lime juice to the glass. Stir gently.
Step 3:
Add ice to fill the glass. Garnish with a strawberry, if desired.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I use another fruit? - Absolutely! You may need to adjust the amount of simple syrup depending on the sweetness of the fruit and your personal preference.
Can I make this without alcohol? - Yes! This delicious recipe can be made into a nonalcoholic option by leaving out the vodka! Ginger beer is nonalcoholic and may still be used or substitute ginger ale for the ginger beer if you'd like!
Why a copper mug? - Honestly, I don't know the science or reasoning behind it, but Moscow Mules are traditionally served in a copper mug.
